For the second time in as many days, it had already started raining by the time I got home. Yet again I had to wait as the water spilled off my way-too-sodden cloak onto the floor. Yet again I had to wonder why there wasn’t an abundance of moss in this wooden, waterlogged town.
But rather than go into the kitchen straight away, as seemed to be the tradition, I turned and went in the opposite direction. I made a beeline for my room, collapsing on my bed with a loud sigh. I was way more exhausted than I would have thought I’d be.
